Alison Doody
Alison Doody was born in Dublin in 1966, in a well-off family. She is the youngest of three children. She was educated in a convent and developed a love for the arts. Later, she attended The National College of Fine Arts in Dublin however, she left as she did not have the passion and decided to spend a year away to contemplate the possibility. At the same time, she was with her friends at a cafe, a still-photographer approached her and inquired if she was interested in modelling. She accepted, thinking that she could use the money for pocket cash. In no time, she began working professionally as model. Modeling contract work led to commercials and she traveled the world. After seeing her acting work, she was encouraged to pursue modeling. The director sent her to London at age 19, which was where she won an audition to play in the latest James Bond film, A View to a Kill (1985). The actress was so enthralled by acting, she worked in this direction. After her first film, she shot a few TV productions both in London as well as in Dublin But her most memorable break came when she got cast as Aryan lover Dr. Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989).
